Spring is the busiest season for United Yacht Transport, the North American leader in boat transport. The international boat transporters are set to complete various shipments in the upcoming months. In the beginning of the year, the company did an incredible job making a shipment in the Mediterranean region. As a result, they will now be setting sail on more voyages across the globe. Opportunities In Euro Market Lure Aussie Boaties

Local boaties are turning to the European market for pre-owned multi-million dollar luxury vessels because of a shortfall in quality high-end stock in Australia, according to a leading marine broker. Ray White Marine CEO Rick Rodwell said Australia’s shortage of late model luxury motor yachts with low hours had come about because of the GFC. “People weren’t buying new boats during and post the GFC, so several years down the track we are feeling the effect of that protracted lull in sales,” he said.

BWA Yachting Renews Pact with International SeaKeepers

BWA Yachting, a  provider of marine agency services to superyacht owners and their crews, has renewed its partnership with The International SeaKeepers Society. The aim of the partnership is to increase participation from yachts in assisting with ocean research, conservation and education. The partnership enters its second year with an emphasis on the DISCOVERY Yachts Program, which utilizes private vessels for marine research, educational outreach, and to deploy oceanographic instruments.

ISA Yachts Launches its First Yacht in Ancona

The launch of the 37m yacht Clorinda, hull #11 of the Sport 120 model, took place on July 5, 2017 in Ancona, Italy in the premises of ISA Yachts. In September 2017 she will debut at the International boat shows of Cannes and Montecarlo. Less than a year after the acquisition of ISA Yachts by the new property, Clorinda, whose construction began in October 2016, is the first yacht completed in the Ancona yard. ISA Yachts said the ISA Sport 120 is a model that strongly reflects the philosophy and aesthetic features of its production, representing an “icon” of the Italian brand.

Reliant Yachts Bags New Build Order

Reliant Yachts of Newport, R.I. has announced a new build is under contract for a 40-foot limousine tender utilizing their X series platform. ISA Yachts has announced the sale of a 65 meter (213 ft) custom new build motoryacht, with Simon Goldsworthy from the Edmiston office in London introducing the Buyer, an existing and very experienced large yacht owner from Europe. Rolls-Royce to Power Ice Class Super Yacht

Rolls-Royce has won a contract to provide the propulsion and power electric systems for a new ice classified super yacht, the 70m King Shark, being built in Viareggio by Italian yacht company Rossinavi. The King Shark allows the owner the freedom to cruise the warm waters of the Caribbean and the freezing conditions of Antarctica in luxury.The vessel is equipped with amenities such as a soundproof cinema room, fully equipped gym, spa and massage room and owner cabin with large private terrace and round pool.

Damen Shipyards Group has appointed Andrea Trevisan as its new Sales Director Cruise New Building, as the company plans to further expand its standing in the flourishung expedition and small size cruise vessels market. Gulf Coast Shipyard Delivers MY Imagine

Gulf Coast Shipyard Group (GCSG) has delivered the Motor Yacht Imagine. The M.Y. Imagine, a Trinity built yacht, is a 193’x 32’x 14’6” custom designed semi-displacement aluminum hull and superstructure vessel that was constructed in GCSG’s yard located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The vessel meets the highest quality yacht standards in the world. It was designed by GCSG and is ABS classed for commercial yachting service. M.Y. Imagine is designed to accommodate 12 guests and a crew of 14 including a captain.

First Ever Female Certified Marina Professional Awarded

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference in Amsterdam (17-19 November 2016) provided the ideal backdrop for the presentation of the latest two Global Marina Institute (GMI) certificates. Michelle Hitchcock, Head of Business Development at MDL Marinas Ltd, was awarded the Certified Marina Professional (CMP) certificate. Hitchcock is the first woman in the world to be accredited as a CMP, since its inception in 2012. Designed to recognize the skills and experience of those working in the marina sector, but not directly managing marinas, Hitchcock  is the perfect candidate to receive this accolade.

Benetti Launches Second Delfino 95'

Launched in Viareggio Delfino 95’ “Uriamir”. This second model in the Class product line has exteriors by Giorgio M. Cassetta. The second Delfino 95’ unit built, BD102, was successfully launched. “Uriamir” is a 28.95-meter displacement vessel in the Classic category, with a fiberglass hull and a carbon fiber superstructure.
