Furuno Electronic Co., Ltd. announced a new subsidiary in Italy has been established on November 8, 2013 and will commence its business operation from January 1, 2014 onward. In Italy, Arimar S.p.A. has hitherto been handling the marketing and sales activities as well as technical service provision as Furuno’s national distributor. The new subsidiary, Furuno Italy S.r.l. WESMAR Adds Dealer in Italy
Italy is a region marine electronics and equipment manufacturer WESMAR has served with its roll fin stabilizers and its stainless steel counter rotating bow and stern thrusters for many years. Today, WESMAR announced a further expansion into the Italian market with the appointment of Yachtalia of Massa, Italy, as its newest international dealer. Yachtalia joins a network of hundreds of WESMAR dealers around the world. The company is situated on the Mediterranean Sea between the western coast of Italy and the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. According to WESMAR’s International Sales Manager Michael Vourtsis, Yachalia will work closely with WESMAR’s Southern Europe Operations Manager Pierre Marachel. Italy has been number one in the world for the production of large yachts for 10 years, WESMAR said.

IAG Superyacht King Baby on the Water
Chinese shipyard, IAG Yachts, has successfully launched the beautiful 140-foot motor yacht King Baby, destined for an experienced yachtsman. "King Baby" is IAG Yachts' largest motoryacht build to launch so far. She stretches 140-feet while the other two yachts were 100 and 127-feet respectively. The exterior design is by a firm named REDS out of Italy. In fact, they did the interior as well. The yacht should go into charter service once completed and was built for a rather experienced American owner.

Carnival Cruise Line Returns to Europe
Carnival Cruise Lines is to return to Europe next year with its biggest ship ever, the 3,936-passenger Carnival Vista. The Doral-based cruise line revealed details about the new 133,500-ton vessel. The ship, which starts sailing in May of 2016, will include the first IMAX Theatre at sea, an onboard brewery, a suspended open-air cycling ride called SkyRide and a family-focused hangout area. Indoor and outside seating will be available at some restaurants, a new feature for the line. For the first time in three years, Carnival will have a ship stationed in Europe when Vista launches in Italy.
