Berkeley Marina gets First Electric Workboat

Berkeley Marina has added its first fully electric workboat to its fleet: the VITA Seal. From patrolling docks and towing vessels, to responding to emergencies and clearing debris, the VITA Seal is already making a powerful impact with zero emissions and near silent operation.

“We have a lot of docks to cover, and an electric powered boat is the best way to get around. Even without a fast charger, battery use hasn’t been an issue. Its torquey, on demand power is a definite asset,” said Sean Crothers, Waterfront Supervisor, Berkeley Marina
