As privately owned, luxury yachts near the size of the average cruise ship, behold a new option, which is anything but commonplace: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. At 624 feet and 11 decks, her exterior profile resembles a sleek superyacht design, not a cruise ship on the horizon. Launched in October 2018 at Hijos de J. Barreras Shipyard in Vigo, Spain, the flagship of the new brand is now in outfitting and interior finishing. The project was co-managed by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott and Tillberg Design of Sweden.

Shipyard Bijela: Concession to Consortium of Damen and Adriatic Marinas

Damen Shipyards Group, Adriatic Marinas and the Montenegrin Government have signed a contract for redevelopment of Bijela shipyard. BWA Yachting Renews Pact with International SeaKeepers

BWA Yachting, a  provider of marine agency services to superyacht owners and their crews, has renewed its partnership with The International SeaKeepers Society. The aim of the partnership is to increase participation from yachts in assisting with ocean research, conservation and education. The partnership enters its second year with an emphasis on the DISCOVERY Yachts Program, which utilizes private vessels for marine research, educational outreach, and to deploy oceanographic instruments.

Marinetek Builds Megayacht Marina for America’s Cup Site

When the America’s Cup fleet arrives in Bermuda in January 2017 a new destination resort and marina with a range of mooring options will be open to visitors eager to follow the action. Marinetek, an internationally acclaimed marina design and build company headquartered in Finland, is putting its expertise to work on a marina system that includes berths for 21 visiting megayachts at the resort’s King’s Point Marina. King’s Point will be the hub of a new luxury residential community designed by SB Architects as a ‘contemporary interpretation of British Colonial architecture’.

Dahm international, member of the DEUTSCHE YACHTEN, Superyachts Germany working group, and Terranova Italian Yachts have announced their newly agreed Europe-wide exclusive sales representation for new build explorer motor yachts from 68‘ to 115‘. Both companies are recognized for their commitment and passion for super yachts and yachting. In April 2015, Terranova was taken over by new owners and re-named Terranova Italian Yachts, a 100 percent Italian company continuing its path and further improvements.

70m Super Yacht Galactica Super Nova Hits Water

Heesen Yachts announced the launch of the largest yacht in its fleet to date, the 70m  Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) superyacht Project Kometa. The owners have christened their new yacht Galactica Super Nova. Galactica Super Nova is a 70.07m motor yacht, custom built in 2016 by Heesen Yachts. The yacht's interior has been designed by Sinot Yacht Design and has exterior styling by Espen Oeino. It is not only the biggest yacht built by Heesen Yachts to date, but she is also one of the top 200 largest yachts in the world and one of the fastest yachts for her size.
