New Manual Toilet Uses Pressurized Fresh Water
Raritan reports its new Fresh Head is the first fully manual marine toilet to utilize pressurized fresh water. Eliminating odors normally associated with raw water toilets, this new marine model also eradicates the calcium carbonate build up in hoses.
With a diaphragm type pump and telescopic handle, flushing is easy. Owners choose how much water to use. A lever allows water into the bowl to pre-wet it for a better flush. A built-in freshwater backflow prevention includes a vacuum break. A lock-out feature stops backflow coming in through the discharge when not in use.
The Fresh Head utilizes a direct footprint replacement for competitive toilets. No thru hulls are necessary when installed with a holding tank.
Raritan's Fresh Head is expected to debut this summer.
