Baglietto Hull Construction on Schedule

Italian custom superyacht builder Baglietto said that its construction of the hull no. 10225 is right on schedule, according to the program that will be launched next spring.The new 55-meter hull is part of Baglietto’s traditional platform (the T-Line) designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, said a press release.The vessel’s soft and sleek lines reflect Baglietto’s traditional Italian style, and, together with the lowered gunwales and side air vents, will embody the Seagull brand’s unmistakable aesthetic features.

Superyacht Latona to Premier in Monaco

New Grand Banks Motor Yacht Completes Sea Trials

Caterpillar Marine has announced the successful sea trial of the Grand Banks Yachts, Ltd. GB60-03 which is powered by a pair of Cat C12.9 supercharged and turbocharged diesel engines. GB60-03 has a length of 65' (19.9m), a beam of 19' (5.85m) and a draft of 4' (1.4m). During the successful sea trial, GB60-03 achieved a top speed of 33 knots. The common rail C12.9’s installed in GB60-03 are capable of delivering 1000mhp@2300rpm while meeting EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Stage IIIA and RCD emission requirements.

Rossinavi Launches Endeavour II

Italian yard Rossinavi has launched its new 49.9-metre superyacht Endeavour II during a ceremony attended by 300 guests and shipyard staff. Known as project FR032, the yacht is built entirely out of aluminium to a design by Team 4 Design. Featuring exterior styling by Team For Design, naval architecture by Arrabito and interior décor by Salvagni Architetti, this displacement yacht comprises a total volume of less than 500GT. Up to 10 guests can sleep in the yatch , as well as a crew of 9.

Caterpillar showcases Cat C7.1 Engine

Caterpillar Marine is showcasing its Cat C7.1 Propulsion Engine at the 2017 Yachts Miami Beach show. Available in three ratings: 507 mhp (373 bkW), 456 mhp (336 bkW) and 406 mhp (298 bkW), all at 2900 rpm, all C7.1 power ratings meet EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Recreational Craft Directive and EU Stage IIIA regulations. The C7.1 is ideal for recreational boating applications, specifically smaller vessels and motoryachts ranging from 25 -60 feet in size. The engine features a common rail fuel system enabling optimum combustion and low emissions.

Gulfstream Shipbuilding won a contract through the United States Department of Homeland Security for a passenger/vehicle ferry to service the New York and Connecticut waters. New Air Regulator from TDI Improves Air Flow Consumption

Tech Development (TDI) introduces its new TurboFlow Air Regulator which the company says dramatically improves air delivery to the start system. The TurboFlow Regulator combined with other TDI start system components provides perfectly matched air-flow to the turbine starter for improved reliability and significant system savings. “One of our marine customers was looking to get more than the three starts they were receiving from their air reservoir using a competitive pre-engaged turbine starter,” states Dave Rawlins, Senior Product Manager at TDI.

Burger Boat Delivers Chicago Passenger Vessel

Burger Boat Company announced the delivery of a 98-foot steel passenger vessel to Chicago's First Lady Cruises in Chicago. The vessel, Chicago’s Classic Lady, was designed by Seacraft Design, LLC of Sturgeon Bay, Wisc. Chicago’s Classic Lady departed the Burger shipyard Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2014, on her delivery voyage to the Chicago waterfront, arriving early the next morning. Built by Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, Wisc., Chicago’s Classic Lady is powered by two Caterpillar C12 main engines and has two Caterpillar C4.4 generators.

First MTU Powered Boat Monitored by GPLink

GPLink’s remote monitoring equipment has been installed on hundreds of Cat powered vessels throughout the world. The company has recently announced that its product has received its first integration on a non-Caterpillar power package. In March, Spencer Yachts splashed their latest build, an 87-foot sportfish yacht named Bangarang, equipped with twin MTU M94 2600 horsepower diesels capable of propelling this mammoth vessel to a cruising speed of 40 knots. These powerful engines are also the first MTUs to receive the GPLink Remote Monitoring system.

Italian builder Filippetti Yachts has unveiled the brand new Navetta 35 design. The new design is principally on a three-deck design -Lower, main, upper with an open air sun deck area. The 35 metre project has been developed to adhere to the strictest environmental standards, without sacrificing guests’ experiences with large deck spaces and a high level of comfort. The tri-deck superyacht will present a distinctive image, with a mix of sporty and elegant lines, with a wide bridge deck and forward facing windows for the master cabin on main deck below.

Burger Boat Signs on to Build Explorer Yach

Burger Boat Company has signed on to a project to build a custom 31.55-meter full displacement steel and aluminum Explorer Motor Yacht. The vessel's modern exterior design and contemporary interior décor were developed by designer Luiz de Basto of Miami, who worked closely with the owner to create an oceangoing, long-range explorer yacht for cruising and fishing the world's sportfishing hot spots, the shipbuilder said. Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 main engines, the vessel will have a cruising range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 9.5 knots.
