A revolutionary “assisted docking” system that provides a glimpse into the future of boating will be demonstrated at two upcoming events by Mercury Marine and Raymarine aboard a Boston Whaler Outrage. The first event will take place at Mercury’s famed Lake X test center and another demonstration to take place at the 2019 Miami International Boat Show. Integrating Raymarine DockSense assisted-docking is a natural “next step” for Mercury, which introduced Zeus joystick docking, an advanced joystick system for pod drives, in 2007.

Mercury Marine’s parent company, Brunswick Corporation entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Power Products – Global Marine & Mobile, which includes the global marine, specialty vehicle, mobile, industrial power, and transportation aftermarket products businesses of Power Products. Mercury Marine Launches Vessel Config
Mercury Marine has launched Vessel Config, a new software management configurator for boatbuilders and dealers. Mercury Introduces V-6 FourStroke Outboards
Mercury Marine has introduced its new V-6 FourStroke outboard family and the expansion of its SeaPro commercial line at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show. The new engine family, which builds on Mercury’s 75-150hp FourStroke outboards, features 175hp, 200hp and 225hp FourStroke outboards and a V-6 200hp SeaPro commercial outboard. The new Mercury FourStroke and SeaPro outboards are built on Mercury’s new 3.4-liter V-6 platform, which is designed to be powerful, light, compact and fuel-efficient. The new V-6 engines are precision engineered from skeg to cowl.

Brunswick, Mercury Marine to Aid Mercy Ships
When the Africa Mercy, the world’s largest private hospital ship, provides its next field service in Cameroon, Africa, it will do so with a new dive boat and several new Mercury Marine outboard engines for the ship’s dive and rescue operations thanks to a recent donation from Brunswick Corporation and its engine subsidiary, Mercury Marine. Mercy Ships is a global charity that offers free life-changing surgeries, holistic health care and specialized training for local health care professionals in some of the world’s poorest areas.
Brunswick Acquires Lankhorst Taselaar
Brunswick Corporation said it has completed its acquisition of Lankhorst Taselaar, a marine parts and accessories distribution company based in the Netherlands and Germany. Mercury Marine Donates Boats, Engines to Harvey Relief Effort
Mercury Marine, in an effort to help in the recovery mission in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, said it has donated multiple boats and engines to the affected areas. This week, Mercury deployed 30, 6hp outboard engines as well as 10 inflatable boats to be sent to the command center in Texas. In addition, the company donated a 40hp outboard engine to Boots on the Ground, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering veterans and qualified civilians to provide in-field emergency and primary medical care. The state command center in Texas has also identified the scarcity of life jackets.
An Undeterred Determination to Be On the Water
Mercury Marine develops and manufactures technology designed to enhance the boating experience. The marine engines manufacturer recently teamed up with Belzona boats to “Go Boldly” on the water with former University of Wyoming basketball star and lifelong boating enthusiast Nichole Rider. “My dad bought a power boat when I was five years old; it just changed my life,” Rider said. ABYC Announces New Board, Officers
The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) hosted its 63rd annual meeting and announced the election of three new members to the board of directors as well as the election of four officers. The annual meeting included an awards presentation to recognize ABYC members who have provided exceptional service to the marine industry. Mercury Marine Ties-up with Supratechnic
Mercury Marine that it has entered in to an exclusive distribution agreement with Supratechnic Pte Ltd, one of the largest marine distributors in Asia, based out of Singapore. This partnership will allow Mercury to expand and build a regional distribution channel in Southeast Asia that will include all of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei.
