Dometic to Launch Watermaker at IBEX
Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, a global provider of leisure products for the marine, truck, RV and automotive markets, announced it will showcase its new XTC-ZTC Double-Pass Watermaker at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), Sept. 15-17 in Louisville, Ky. According to Dometic , the XTC-ZTC is the first and only fully automatic, integrated double-pass reverse-osmosis system that can purify every source of yacht water, including seawater, brackish water, lake water, river water or dockside water. KVH Upgrades IP-MobileCast Service
KVH Industries has updated its unique IP-MobileCastTM content delivery service for additional viewing flexibility and expanded content offerings. The new features are being rolled out in stages, with the first round of upgrades automatically delivered via over-the-air software updates for current subscribers. IP-MobileCast was developed by KVH and launched in 2014 as the first and only service to multicast movies, TV shows, daily news and sports, as well as operational data via satellite to vessels at sea.
New Electric Outboard from Torqeedo
Torqeedo has introduced a new flagship model for its low-voltage Cruise line, the Cruise 10.0. This 20 horsepower-equivalent, emission-free outboard can plane light boats at speeds up to 28 mph and moves displacement hulls from 3 to 10 tons at up to 9 mph. The Cruise 10.0's electronically commutated, brushless DC motor and carefully optimized propeller provides up to 12 kW at peak input and 10 kW continuous power. The 48V outboard delivers performance while maintaining the simple handling and installation of a low-voltage system, the manufacturer said.
